In my senior year of high school, I was assigned to write a thesis on my topic of choice, comprehensive sex education in schools, and present it in front of a panel of judges. My conservative school would only allow us to present in an outfit that was grey, black, or navy. There would be a point deduction for other colors worn. Already angered by my school’s values I decided I wanted to break this rule to show my personality and prove that the color of my clothing was irrelevant. I picked out the most perfect pink suit, rocked my presentation, and happily accepted the point deduction. The suit made me feel so powerful and proud. The dress code was nothing but a way to suppress personal expression and I am definitley not grey, black, or navy.

This hot pink power I discovered since the day I put on that suit has followed me ever since. Hot pink is now my brand. It is an outward expression of who I am through a color. I decided I needed my unique blend of pink to make it official. The color you see all over my website has a specific RBG/Hex code that I like to call Sarah Hallberg Hot Pink. I use Sarah Hallberg Hot Pink on my Spotify, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google accounts.

Hard to forget about the girl who made her own shade of pink.
