What I’ve been up to
I am finishing up my last semester at CU Boulder and getting more excited every day to graduate in May 2025. This spring, I am taking my final advertising course where I get to create a full strategic advertising campaign for Bitty and Beau’s, a coffee shop started in North Carolina that recently opened in Boulder. It feels like everything I have learned so far is building up to this project, and I can’t wait to see it come to life and help a local business.
Right now, I am balancing school, leadership roles, and work all at once. As the Communications Manager for CU Boulder's AdClub, I help plan events, run our communications, and make sure students have chances to connect with people working in the industry. I will also be going to NYC with AdClub in mid-March to meet professionals in my field. In my capstone class, my team and I are working with Bitty & Beau’s Boulder to build an advertising strategy that helps the client’s needs; increasing brand awareness, transaction size, and foot traffic.
I currently work as a Digital Marketing Intern at Echo Boomer Design in Boulder. Most of my work focuses on helping rebrand and transition Verizon’s Total Wireless stores, so I am learning a lot about marketing for multiple locations, and what it takes to make a brand feel fresh and consistent online. I also utilize AI to write and post blogs for clients Kate’s Real Food and Nobo Goods weekly.
On top of that, I am also the Songfest Coordinator for my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. I direct and choreograph our over 10-minute performance that combines dance, skits, and fun moments for the audience. It’s a huge team effort that takes a lot of management on my part. We perform the routine in front of hundreds of people to raise money for Boulder’s local food bank. It challenges me to be creative, stay organized, and teach a big group of people how to not only work together but dance and put on a show.
As graduation gets closer, I am starting to apply for jobs in Austin, Denver, Boston, New York, and Chicago. I also have a longtime dream of living and working in Amsterdam one day, so I am keeping my options open and staying excited about what’s ahead. 2025 is the year I take everything I have learned and officially step into the real world, and I am ready for whatever comes next!
